C0006 - Bohinjska Bistrica - The War Museum of the Isonzo Front 1915-1917
Text description
In the Godec's house in Bohinjska Bistrica there are on display three pernament museum collections: an archaeological exhibition, the leather museum and a small museum about the Isonzo Front 1915-1917. The lattest is dedicated to the northern sector of the Isonzo Front from the Bainsizza plateau to Mrzli vrh and the extreme southeast part of the Carinthia Front from Mt. Rombon to Mt. Krn. More than 1,100 different artefacts and documents are displayed in the museum which in their own way tell us about the suffering and horror many soldiers had gone through. There is also a small section about war propaganda, social problems and the daily life behind the frontline.
