| C0023 - Vipava - The war museum Vipava - Soška fronta 1915-1917 |
| Text description |
The collection is based on the remnants and artefacts of the Austro-Hungarian and Italian Army that were found on the former battle fields of the Isonzo Front. The museum is located in the Military Camp "Janko Premrl-Vojko" in Vipava and is the first museum of its kind in the Slovenian Army. The author and the owner of the museum is Staff Sergeant Mitja Mocnik.
In front of the museum is a reconstruction of the front line on the Carso. Inside the museum it is divided into five exhibition rooms representing:
1.) Austro-Hungarian Field Hospital (Feldlazaret) for seriously wounded soldiers.
2.) Austro-Hungarian universal workshop for blacksmiths, carpenters, shoemakers and tailors
3.) the working and living room of a commander of the Austro-Hungarian battalion (K.u.K. Baon-Komanndo)
4.) underground cavern with a warehouse and telephone exchange
5.) a connection and rifle trench (Lauf-schutz Graben) with a guard post and the guard.
